Einige Quellen gruben einen ange­blichen Paten­tantrag Apples aus, der sich ange­blich um ein Unibody-iPod drehen sollte. Abge­se­hen davon das der iPod-classic fast als Uni­body durchge­hen kann, ver­gaß man wohl die Quelle dieses Antrages zu ver­linken. Wohl aus gutem Grund — das ange­bliche Stück Alu­minium ent­puppt sich eher als opti­mierten Fer­ti­gung­sprozess der ganzen iPod-Linie. Zwar dreht sich der Paten­tantrag vom 9. April 09 um kos­metis­che Kor­rek­turen von der ange­blichen Rev­o­lu­tion ist allerd­ings nichts zu lesen.
